Functional Design Supports Busy Family Life in Chester County - Part 3

In Chester County, PA, a family of six, required a main floor that supported their busy schedules and full house. Housing two working parents, two school-aged children and two furbabies, the residence originally failed to offer functional, fluid space for busy mornings, entertaining guests and family time. Additionally, Timeless Design identified a need for performance materials to enhance livability and minimize cleaning. This is the third post in a 3-part series breaking down how the Timeless Design team added impact and warmth in the kitchen, dining room, and family room.

Family Room

Custom built in - Team Timeless redesigned the built-in to better organize the clients’ entertainment system. Concealing the system with lower cabinets not only creates a more polished look, but also prevents dust.

Performance fabric sectional - The new sectional, upholstered with Revolution performance fabrics, provides ample seating and resists stains. The large ottoman provides a space for resting feet, while the sofa table allows for setting down drinks.

Gallery wall - Team Timeless installed a gallery wall to feature family photos. The black and white images add impact and personality to the space.

Before

It was a privilege to work with this client to add character and cohesive, functional style throughout their main living spaces. (If you miss our previous posts, please look back to see how the adjoining kitchen and dining spaces were transformed along with the family room.)
