Functional Design Supports Busy Family Life in Chester County - Part 2

In Chester County, PA, a family of six, required a main floor that supported their busy schedules and full house. Housing two working parents, two school-aged children and two furbabies, the residence originally failed to offer functional, fluid space for busy mornings, entertaining guests and family time. Additionally, Timeless Design identified a need for performance materials to enhance livability and minimize cleaning. In this 3 part blog series we will breakdown the our favorite elements from this multi-room project. In our last post we featured the kitchen, now we move onto the dining area.

Dining Room

Custom dining table - A custom designed and fabricated farmhouse table fills the space perfectly and serves as a beautiful focal point.

Chandelier - The new double wheel candle chandelier elevates the space and provides more light. The larger light fixture also highlights the reclaimed beams along the ceiling.

Design cohesion - The updated paint, curtains, artwork and rug emulate the kitchen's design aesthetic. Repeating the use of wood tones in the beverage center, dining table, and ceiling beams adds warmth and a cohesive look to the adjoining spaces.

Before

Stay tuned for our next post, we will breakdown the transformation that took place in the adjoining family room. The Timeless Design team added impact and warmth to the most used room in this family's home.
