Functional Design Supports Busy Family Life in Chester County - Part 1

In Chester County, PA, a family of six, required a main floor that supported their busy schedules and full house. Housing two working parents, two school-aged children and two furbabies, the residence originally failed to offer functional, fluid space for busy mornings, entertaining guests and family time. Additionally, Timeless Design identified a need for performance materials to enhance livability and minimize cleaning. In this 3 part blog series we will breakdown our favorite elements from this multi-room project.

Kitchen

Beverage center - Team Timeless transformed a rarely used desk into a custom beverage area including a coffee station, wine fridge, and drawer storage. Making both busy mornings and entertaining a breeze.

Chevron back splash - the updated back splash of vanilla colored hand-thrown subway tiles make a reflective and unique accent wall going from counter to ceiling.

Reclaimed wood - wood shelves add warmth and depth of character. Removing the upper cabinet opened the space to the adjacent room and gives an updated look.

Before

Stay tuned for our next blog post, where we move into the dining room and breakdown how we created an inviting and unique dining space perfect for family dinners or entertaining guests.
