Newark Residence

This dining room was literally a blank canvas with stark white walls… we interpreted the homeowner’s desire for a modern farmhouse look with muted tones and some subtle drama.

 

• Custom dining table - A Timeless Design custom reclaimed oak double pedestal dining table provides a dramatic focal point to the room and a unique take on the modern farmhouse aesthetic.

• Performance Wallpaper - A light grey faux grasscloth was applied above the chair rail and a striking, modern geometric gray and white print was chosen for the tray ceiling adding texture and elegance.

• Textiles - Custom drapery panels frame the window, a distressed grey patterned rug lies under the table, and neutral linen host/hostess chairs flank the sideboard work together to soften the space.

• Black accents and wood accessories - The black bentwood side chairs, sideboard, chandelier, and curtain hardware add structure throughout. Wooden lanterns and an antique trencher bring warmth to the sideboard.
