What is a Design Outline?

Design Outline is an affordable alternative to traditional interior design services. There are no location restrictions- we can help you no matter how far away you live! This is also a great fit for do-it-yourselfers who just want a professional outline. Everything can be done either electronically or by mail to create a custom room design for you- balanced to meet your needs, style, & budget. We give you ideas, a custom floor plan, a shopping list and you implement them on your own.

How does it work?

You’ll fill out our design outline questionnaire which will give us an idea of the colors and styles you like (and maybe more importantly- those you don't like!) and examples of those things that inspire you. Within 1-2 business days we will reply with a request for your room measurements and photos. Once they are received, you'll have a personal phone call with Kate to be sure she understands your needs and wants for the space. Then, in about 6 weeks, you will receive a package with Kate's recommendations which will include a floor plan for furniture placement, fabric samples for upholstery and accent pillows, paint colors and Kate’s recommendations for lighting and accessories. You will also receive detailed resource pages that list local stores and online retailers.

Pricing may vary based on the size of the room and the extent to which you want to want to accessorize. A final price will be established before work begins.

After we receive your design outline questionnaire we will review & follow up with next steps & send you an invoice for your deposit ($100) to reserve you space on our Design Outline Calendar.
