Rockford Park Residence

Photography by Jon Friedrich

The goal for this home design was to marry the home's existing formal  elements, including a formal dining set, and the homeowner’s relaxed aesthetic.  We loved the challenge of bridging the traditional architecture and fixtures with a more modern concept to achieve a fresh, more laid-back interior.

The modern art canvas in the foyer plays on the home’s location near the Delaware Art Museum. The living room furnishings and window treatments balance the formal architecture of the home with a fresh color palette.

In the dining room, natural colored faux grasscloth wallpaper and high performance linen fabric on the chairs brings a light, airy feel to the space, in contrast to the dark furniture and formal fixtures. Influenced by the homeowner’s vivid, contemporary artwork a mix of vibrant geometric prints in blues and teals were selected for the rug, custom window treatments, pillows, and accessories.
